2.8L turbo diesel engine is the optional feature for the limited edition of the Jeep Cherokee. Available on Limited is the ultra-efficient and economical 2.8-litre CRD turbo diesel engine with 147 kW and 460 N.m of torque at 3,600 rpm and 1,600 – 2,600 rpm respectively. The Cherokee Diesel engine also comes with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Similar to the Cherokee Petrol, the diesel model of Jeep Cherokee also comes with Selec-Trac II® active full time 4WD system, which allows for real time "on demand" four-wheel drive capability. Drive-Away price for standard mode of Cherokee Diesel comes to be approx $47,964AUD.
