Jeep_® Cherokee's active full-time 4WD system, Selec-Trac II^® boasts world-class 4WD performance due to its unmitigated strength and real-time traction response.

Selec-Trac is constantly adjusting to road conditions to produce optimum grip on the road at all times. Should traction loss occur, Selec-Trac immediately transfers the lion's share of torque onto the wheels with the most grip. Transfer of torque from one wheel to the other on an axle is accomplished by using a Brake Traction Control system.
