The available Quadra-Lift^™ air suspension system⁽¹⁾ is engineered to take you to incredible new heights. With the push of a button this high-tech system can give an instant "lift" and elevate the Grand Cherokee 104mm when needed. Maximum ground clearance is a remarkable 271 mm.

This closed-type air suspension design allows you to adjust your vehicle's suspension height to augment the vehicle's inherent capabilities. It's closed-type design allows it to adjust far faster and more quietly than open-type systems.

Hill Start Assist

Hill Start Assist (HSA) aids drivers when starting a vehicle from a stop on a hill by maintaining the level of brake pressure applied for a short period after the driver's foot is removed from the brake pedal. If throttle is not applied within a short period after the driver's foot is removed from the brake pedal, brake pressure will be released.

Hill Descent Control

Hill Descent Control (HDC) with grade sensing allows a smooth and controlled hill descent on rough or slippery terrain without the driver needing to touch the brake pedal. This system applies the brakes to each wheel individually when needed to reduce forward motion while negotiating down steep grades.

Independent front and rear suspension on Jeep^® Grand Cherokee provides a greater sense of precision and control. And rack-and-pinion steering completes the package for precise steering with unyielding off-road performance.

Body Stiffness

The all-new Grand Cherokee's reinforced body structure creates a sheltered environment that will empower you with a relaxed confidence to enjoy your company and the view. The body structure's torsional stiffness is 146-percent greater than the previous Grand Cherokee, contributing to impressive driving dynamics, a whisper quiet cabin and rock-solid durability.
