Grand Cherokee allows you to conquer any terrain and tow what you need to for your active lifestyle. When properly equipped, it can tow 3,500 kg⁽²⁾ when equipped with the 3.0-litre CRD diesel engine or 5.7-litre HEMI^® engine.

Trailer Sway Control⁽¹⁾ (TSC) detects excessive trailer sway and takes action by automatically reducing engine power and applying the right amount of braking to the appropriate wheels to counteract the sway of the trailer. Just knowing it's there offers a level of security and confidence for the driver when towing in adverse conditions such as crosswinds and high speed traffic.

Towing Capability

The Trailer Tow Group includes a Class IV receiver hitch, trailer tow wiring harness and Trailer Sway Control⁽¹⁾  (TSC). The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee offers trailer tow capability of up to 2,268 kg on models equipped with the Pentastar™ V6 engine⁽²⁾. Equip your Grand Cherokee with the 3.0-litre CRD diesel engine or legendary 5.7-litre HEMI® engine and you're ready for loads of up to 3,500 kg⁽²⁾.

Tow / Haul Switch

Available with the 5.7-litre HEMI^® engine is the TOW / HAUL feature which improves vehicle performance and fuel economy, while minimizing engine noise during trailer towing or heavy-load hauling. Activating the TOW / HAUL feature inhibits Overdrive and allows up shifts to fourth during higher speeds.
