Compass 4x4 models come standard with the Jeep_® Freedom Drive^™ active full-time 4WD system with selectable LOCK mode. When the system’s 4WD LOCK handle is engage, torque is sent equally to the front and rear axles for improved low-speed traction and control.

Compass also features the standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC)⁽¹⁾ which includes All-speed Traction Control (ASTC), Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM) and Brake Locking Differentials (BLD). These lifesaving computer-controlled systems work in seamless harmony to allow Compass’ driveline to react instantly to ever-changing conditions and help ensure that control is maintained in the most challenging circumstances.
