Airbags

Cherokee's advanced multi-stage front air bags(1) inflate with a force appropriate to the severity of the impact. Supplemental side curtain airbags(1) provide added protection in the event of a side-impact.

Active head Restraints

A standard, simple and effective safety feature that can help reduce the severity of neck injuries. In the event of a rear end collision, active head restraints(3) automatically react and move up and forward to help provide protection.

Bodyframe

Crumple zones are designed to compress during an accident to absorb energy from an impact, decreasing transfer of that energy to the occupants. Cherokee uses high-strength alloy steel for added energy absorption.
